All of the top fashion sources are stating that 2011 will be another year that capitalises on significant vintage fashion trends from years gone by. The most fashionable clothing available in 2011 will take inspiration from the 70s and there are a number of sunglasses that have been said to be on trend.
High street stores are full of 70s classics such as oversized sunglasses, bold retro colours, headscarves and even flares. Top stylists all over world recognise that 70s fashion has made a comeback this year and sunglasses should be and oversized as possible with exaggerated shapes made famous by stars from the 70s being the height of fashion in 2011.
The range of clothing and sunglasses styles that have been revived is staggering. There are a number of great frame shapes and styles that have been reinvented from 70s inspiration, but with the good also comes a high amount of animal print this year. Prints such as leopard, zebra, tiger and even giraffe are making a big comeback and fashionistas have issued notes of caution not to match animal print clothing with bold sunglasses but instead opt for soft and dark colours such as black or a sedate brown. While tortoise shell has also made a comeback this year only a select few can pull off tortoise shell sunglasses with animal print clothing.
The 70s was all about bold colours and 2011 isn't going to be any different. There are going to be plenty of sunglasses from designers making use of bold frames that capitalise on this year's colours; orange and white. Bold and bright sunglasses will be an essential for everyone's wardrobe this year.
