The Best Format for Submitting Volleyball Recruiting Videos

At this point YouTube is the best way to get your college volleyball recruiting video in the hands of coaches. Even the most helpless of them in terms of computers, videos, etc. will have little trouble viewing an internet volleyball recruiting video that way One of the things coaches struggle with is a video file or DVD sent in a format their PC system doesnand#39;t accept. Usually if the footage comes through a link to another company or online server it works nicely, but many coaches arenand#39;t familiar enough with all of the available alternatives these days to be able to handle it if there is an issue.

What coaches have come to like about YouTube is just clicking on the link and watching the video. Naturally there's much to distract a coach on the page, with all the other video options and ads. Yes, coaches can meander off the beaten track too, but it is a pretty idiot-proof technique to get them to watch you. Trust me, idiot-proof is the way to go with volleyball coaches, especially during busy times of year, like in the volleyball season.

Remember, volleyball recruiting video footage is solely to get coaches to come watch you in real life. The video wonand#39;t secure a scholarship or a spot on the squad in most cases, but it will allow enough analysis material to entice a coach to come see you in play, or to ask for more specific video footage. Don't worry about putting together the ideal volleyball recruiting video. Just get something together that lasts about 8 minutes with skills and a bit of game footage.

Oh and be precise about what you show in the volleyball recruiting video. If youand#39;re displaying yourself as a setter, don't trouble including serve receive. If you are a middle blocker, don't show outside hitting reps. College volleyball is skill-specific. Show the abilities for the position you play.

Ultimately, do not waste time showing serving. The ability to serve the ball over the net is something college coaches take for granted in their prospects! The only time you should bother including video of your serving is if you have a very strong jump serve. Even then, only a handful of reps is required. Don't include five minutes of serving.
